Recognition

Hackensack Meridian Health launched the Bear’s Den in 2019 to reward team members who develop and implement innovative ideas and solutions that positively impact patients and make HMH a better place to work.

The Monocle Awards is a new Bear’s Den award program aimed at identifying ideas our team members have implemented that could potentially be scaled up across the network.

Have you or a colleague implemented a creative solution to a problem? If so, we want to hear about it.

Submission Steps

Step 1 Access the Submission Form on the Exchange here.

Step 2 Take 5 minutes to fill out the form and tell us about your or your colleague’s solution. (Please note: All implemented ideas and solutions are welcome; if you have more than one, submit them all!)

Step 3 Your submission(s) will be judged on the following by an interdisciplinary group of judges:

    • Clearly defined problem or challenge
    • Creativity
    • Impact on patient care and patient safety
    • Impact on team members’ workday
    • Likelihood that others in the network can benefit from implementing the idea

Step 4 Finalists will have a chance to pitch their solutions live to the judges – but don’t worry, it will not be much work and we will provide you with a coach.

Step 5 Winners will enjoy recognition across the network and great prizes.

If you have any questions, please send them to MonocleAwards@HackensackMeridian.org.
